Wherever you turn, you can find one of our Indiana University Northwest graduates scattered throughout schools across Indiana and beyond. We've had student teachers placed in 71 different urban, suburban and rural school districts throughout the region and parts of Illinois, offering our students a diverse student-teaching experience you won't find anywhere else.

Our unique problem-based learning approach gives you the resources you need to succeed teaching elementary and high school students. Our program focuses on curriculum design and deliver, teacher effectiveness, educational equity, learning technologies and leadership to prepare you for your future teaching the tomorrow's leaders.

Get your degree on your time

Our flexible program consists of 33 graduate credit hours, all elementary and secondary content areas and requires no thesis.

Best of all, with classes offered in the Fall, Spring and Summer, you can start your degree when you're ready.

Indiana University Northwest's School of Education received a perfect evaluation from the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) — the only nationally recognized accrediting body for educator preparation — for both its bachelor's and master's degree programs, meeting rigorous standards that shows we prepare our graduates to succeed in a diverse range of classrooms.

• EDUC A530: Statistical Data for Educational Leaders (3 Credit Hours)
• EDUC A512: Kindergarten through Grade 12 Curriculum (3 Credit Hours)
• Two 3-credit hour elective graduate courses approved by your advisor.
• EDUC W505: Master’s Capstone Seminar (3 Credit Hours)
