Process for Evaluation of Candidate Professional Teaching Dispositions
The Professional Teaching Dispositions adopted by the Indiana University Northwest School of Education promote and support Candidate development of professionalism as outlined in state and national standards. These standards are developed in the SOE Conceptual Framework, incorporated throughout the Initial Program, and are expressed with twelve disposition statements. Candidates (referred to as Interns in the UTEP Program), Cooperating Teachers in the field, and the SOE faculty and staff ascribe to the dispositions, the process for assessing and evaluating the Candidates’ adherence to the dispositions, and their role in the process.
