Requirements
A minimum of 30 credit hours in philosophy. No more than 9 credit hours at the 100 level may be included. Three courses from the sequence in the history of philosophy: PHIL-P 201, PHIL-P 211, PHIL-P 302, PHIL-P 304. One course in logic and one course above the 100 level in each of the following four areas:
(1) ethics, (2) metaphysics or epistemology, (3) twentieth-century philosophy, and (4) either PHIL-P 383 or PHIL-P 490 to fulfill the capstone requirement. Students must also complete the general requirements of the College of Arts and Sciences.
Students majoring in philosophy may register at IU Northwest for philosophy courses offered at Purdue University Calumet. Please see the chairperson of the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies for details.
