They dug in and went to work despite COVID-19 to ensure future students had access to college information, including providing in-person tours on Saturdays (following IU & COVID-19 guidelines). Each person took either a different way of delivering their service in a virtual environment or reallocated their time to assist other team members. Admissions Counselors became College Navigators, helping with students’ course registrations and more. One team member learned three new technology platforms during this time, one member in addition to transfer recruitment assisted with freshmen students, one member took on-campus visit programs including tour videos, one team member helped counselors make admission decisions, the switchboard operator-assisted with admission related phone calls, mailed more than 300 swag boxes, and learned how to operate a Chatbot. Every admissions office has an investigator, and I’m fortunate to have two skilled team members that on my behalf, responded to inquiries, found the backstory for me, and help me address domestic and International students’ admissions or registration needs. I present to you one of the best Admissions teams to have in times of a pandemic and the Pride of IU Northwest!
