Dedicated to Student Success
The Student Advising Center provides you with the academic resources and services you need to help you succeed in meeting your educational goals. It is recommended that all that students do the following:
- Meet your advisor at least twice a semester.
- Practice good time management skills.
- Meet with an advisor regarding issues and/or concerns about academics or student life.
- Accept full responsibility for your personal and academic progress.
What if I am having difficulties in a class
There are many resources available to you as a student. If you are having issues in class, reach out to your professor and schedule a meeting to address your concerns. You should also contact your academic advisor to discuss the situation so they can refer you to the appropriate resources.
New Point of Service Survey
The New Point of Service Survey is here! The improved survey when properly utilized will provide important data regarding student-advising needs, gauge accessibility, and identify the gaps in academic advising. The new survey is not only for registration purposes, it should be utilized to track all student meetings such as: planning requirements to complete a degree, guidance of changing majors or career planning, SAP appeals, research interests, and Student Engagement Roster (SER).
