We anticipate returning occupants to their offices by the middle of August.
Q: Where am I moving to?
A: Facilities Services and the Office of the Registrar are working directly with affected departments and occupants to identify alternate working spaces while this project is being completed.
Q: How will visitors find me?
A: Once relocation is complete, signage will be posted on and around Hawthorn. You may wish to include your temporary new space in your outlook email signature if you anticipate seeing a high volume of guests over the summer.
Q: What work is being done?
A: There is significant work to the air handling system of Hawthorn in the second phase of work that began in 2023. The result should be improved air flow and temperature stability in Hawthorn. In addition, some classroom upgrades will be taking place, and carpeting will be replaced in many areas.
Q: What areas of Hawthorn are impacted?
A: Work is being done on the 3rd and 4th Floors of Hawthorn, and access to those floors are restricted to construction workers only. It will be a hard hat zone. The 1st and 2nd floors of Hawthorn will be open and function as normal throughout the duration of the project.
Q: What if I require access to my space during the project?
A: Access will be strictly limited. If you must access your space, please complete a facilities service request.
