Two $500.00 support scholarships awarded per academic year. The recipients of the Scholarships will be full-time undergraduate students majoring in theater, who maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA. Preference shall be given to one female in the name of Helen J. Danko and Gary Printing, Inc.; and the other preference shall be given to one male in the name of Robert J. Danko and Gary printing, Inc.

Awarded to any incoming freshman at IUN with a high school GPA of 3.0 or better from Lake or Porter County. The scholarship will be a minimum of $500.00 per year, funds permitting, and will be awarded by a committee of IUN faculty based on student's audition and/or portfolio presentation.

Undergraduate support scholarship. The recipient will be a student enrolled at IUN who is a junior or senior majoring in Fine Arts. The recipient must have a minimum GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale.

Scholarship(s) be awarded to students enrolled as majors in IU Northwest's School of the Arts. Candidates must be enrolled full time in a minimum of nine credit hours, have completed a minimum of 24 credit hours, and have a grade point average (GPA) of not less than 2.5, nor more than 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. Preference will be given to those students who work to help pay for their educational expenses.

Support undergraduate scholarships for students at IU Northwest who have financial need. Preference shall be given first to students majoring in theatre and second to students majoring in education. The Scholarship is renewable provided the recipients remain in good academic standing with IU Northwest.

One undergraduate support scholarship awarded annually. Because, as part of its mission, Indiana University is committed to diversity, special consideration will be given to underrepresented populations. The Scholarship will be given out to a student enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences who is working toward a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts and/or Theatre. The recipient will be a student in good academic standing, as defined by the selection committee. The amount and recipient of the Scholarship will be determined by the IU Northwest Scholarship Committee.

Support scholarships for sophomores, juniors, and/or seniors at IU Northwest who are majoring in communication, have demonstrated financial need, and have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in courses related to their major. Because, as part of its mission, Indiana University is committed to diversity, special consideration will be given to underrepresented populations, including but not limited to financially challenged students, and/or students with diverse cultural experiences. The Donors have a preference for students from Lake or Porter County in Indiana. The Scholarship may be renewed provided the recipients continue to meet the criteria outlined above. The amount of the Scholarship will not exceed $350 for the first five years it is awarded.

The Artist Collective at IU Northwest is interested in strengthening professional practice development opportunities, and cultivating the appreciation of art across disciplines for students on and off-campus. The club hosts a variety of student-run arts events.

PRSSA IU Northwest Chapter supports public relations education and the public relations profession by developing ethically responsible pre-professionals who champion diversity, strive for outstanding training, and advocate for the profession. IUN PRSSA aims to be involved with the community, be of service to others on and off-campus, and strive to work their way into their professional career.

The Broadway Drama Society (BDS), an official IU Northwest student organization, takes pride in offering all students opportunities to expand their skills, talents, and love of the performing arts! Dedicated to every aspect of theatre, including acting, dancing, singing, designing, and directing, the BDS is a group of students that share a passion for theatre and audience engagement. The organization sponsors student-run productions and field trips, special events, and meet-and-greets with professionals in the field. All club activities are open to all students regardless of major or prior experience.

What is the Student Alumni Association?

The mission of the Student Alumni Association is to foster a culture of student commitment through meaningful experiences and philanthropic efforts with students, alumni, and the community. As one of the most active student organizations on campus, SAA provides its members with skills that enhance their education and opportunities to meet IU alumni, faculty, staff, and students.

What does SAA do? 

  • Create experiences that promote school spirit, tradition, and interaction among the campus community.
  • Build awareness of the importance of philanthropy and the culture of commitment to IU Northwest.
  • Cultivate future alumni leadership among current students.
  • Represent the University Advancement and External Affairs team (which includes Alumni Relations, Marketing and Communications, Development and Special Events)  at signature programs and events.

  • Complete and submit a membership application.
  • Interview with the SAA advisor.
  • Have at least two semesters left at IU Northwest.

  • Attend monthly meetings to get the most out of your membership.
