Below are scholarships available directly from IU Northwest for the 2024-25 academic year. These scholarships are to be used to cover costs associated only with IU Northwest courses. These scholarship awards are not transferable to any other IU campus or other institutions.
Recipients of IU Northwest scholarships cannot receive the scholarship in its entirety if the amount puts the student over his/her cost of attendance.
Early admission to IU Northwest is the best way to assure admissions-based scholarship consideration. Award notifications to selected recipients will included in the admissions letter.
To be considered for competitive scholarships it is the student's responsibility to complete the application and submit it before the deadline indicated. Applications for competitive scholarships are available below.
Important Notes:
To be eligible for consideration, student must be admitted to the university and complete the application prior to the deadline for scholarship (in parenthesis). Students are encouraged to also complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) before the priority deadline of April 15th. Scholarships are for first semester Freshman enrolling in the fall semester directly from high school and will be effective the fall 2023 semester.
- SAT total refers only to Critical Reading plus Math scores.
- ACT score refers to composite score.
- GPA is based on a 4.0 scale.
- Rank is based on 7th semester.
- Be a full-time (> 12 credit hours) student, per semester.
Admissions-Based Scholarships
High School Seniors who enroll directly from an accredited high school may be eligible for one of the following scholarships. Students must meet the selection criteria, be admitted by December 1, and register for classes by June 1 in order to accept and receive the scholarship.
In order to be reevaluated for scholarship eligibility after admission, it is the student's responsibility to contact the Office of Admissions if they achieve a qualifying cumulative GPA or obtain qualifying SAT/ACT scores.
Incoming full-time freshman with a cumulative GPA of 3.0. Award is for $1,000 per academic year, renewable for three additional years with a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
