Redhawk Media


RedHawk Media at Indiana University Northwest is a student-run media production studio located in the School of the Arts that produces a variety of podcasts, videos, and live-sports broadcasts. In-person, broadcast, and online programming are produced and streamed from a state-of-the-art studio with acoustically treated booths and essential equipment necessary for managing and mixing shows.

Produced at Redhawk Media in the School of the Arts at Indiana University Northwest, Hawk-Sense is a Superhero themed Podcast hosted by Alex Nicolaou for die hard Superhero fans and just casual fans of the movies and characters. It also will cover Superhero News, Reviews, Discussions, and more.

Redhawk Media + IUN Athletics

A partnership with the IU Northwest Athletics Department allows students interested in sports broadcasting to gain hands-on experience in radio and web production, news reporting, sportscasting play-by-play announcements, and story writing via webcast or radio.

Members of the Podcasting Committee collaborate to create, produce, and publish a variety of podcasts - ranging from music to sports to entertainment.


WIUN Sports Broadcasters attend games, do live play-by-play, color commentary, and interviews with players and coaches. We do shows relating to sports in the Northwest Indiana and Chicagoland region in the offseason. Other kinds of sports programming are also welcome!

Video Production

In our green-screen studio, students are able to produce a variety of live and pre-recorded video podcasts. 


Members of the Outreach department create relationships with student groups on campus to get the latest news of what is going on around campus, coordinate with different programs to stay up to date with their plans to improve the campus community, and create public service announcements and news items to be streamed via our webstream to the campus and the world
