Indiana University Northwest has a handful of study abroad scholarships available. Find out what scholarships you may be eligible for, the deadlines for each, and how to apply to them below:
When you apply to the IUN Campus Wide Application, you automatically apply to the following IU Overseas Study Scholarships.

Apply here to the IU Northwest Foreign Studies Scholarship.
Provides scholarships to students at IUN who have completed at least 45 credit hours and have exhibited excellence in a modern foreign language. Candidates for the Scholarship shall have been accepted by a foreign studies program sponsored by Indiana University, and have the written support of at least one faculty member at IUN. Application may be made at any time
in the semester before a student’s foreign study. Application will comprise a letter requesting such scholarship assistance, accompanied by supporting documentation and submitted to the office of the Chairman of the Department of Modern Foreign Languages at IUN. The IUN Scholarship and Financial Aid Committee will review applications and make recommendations to the Chancellor, who will notify recipients of the award. Scholarships may be awarded for summer study as well as for regular semester or academic year study. Recipients will receive the Scholarship monies one month before their departure for foreign study. The amount of the Scholarship will be determined by the IUN Scholarship and Financial Aid Committee, but in no case shall it exceed the amount of funds available for distribution.
Supports undergraduate scholarships for students enrolled in an IU-approved, credit-bearing study abroad program sponsored by IU Northwest or any other Indiana University campus. Preference will be given to students with a GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. The Scholarship is not renewable.
Support undergraduate scholarships for students enrolled in an IU-approved, credit-bearing study abroad program sponsored by IU Northwest or any other Indiana University campus. The number, amount, and recipients of the Scholarship will be determined by the Scholarship Committee of IU Northwest.

Be a student enrolled and in good standing in a high school or undergraduate degree program at the time of application.
Don Quijote Spanish Education Fund Application
The Polish Heritage Association of Michigan City was established in November 2011 to increase awareness of Polish and Polish-American heritage. The Association organizes the annual Polish Heritage Festival at the Friendship Botanic Gardens (formerly the International Friendship Gardens) in Michigan City, tends the Polish Garden at the Gardens, offers an annual scholarship competition, and contributes an annual gift to a charity such as a local homeless shelter.
It is also currently engaged in restoring the Ignacy Jan Paderewski bust scheduled for unveiling in Spring 2018 at the Polish Garden in the Friendship Botanic Gardens (formerly the International Friendship Gardens).
The goal of The Polish Heritage Association of Michigan City scholarship program is to support students pursuing their education at the high school or college level and to raise awareness about Poland, Poles and Polish Americans.
Award: Applicants are eligible for 1st Place ($1,000), 2nd Place ($500), or 3rd Place ($100) awards.
Open to any high school or college student legally residing in Northwest Indiana (Lake, Porter, LaPorte, Starke, St. Joseph Counties). Applicants do not need to be of Polish ancestry.
