As an Assistant Professor, my role is to create a classroom climate where learning occurs.  I engage students in creating a classroom culture founded on collaborative discourse where both public and private negotiation of meaning occurs; where claims and evidence are made and critiqued; where conceptual understanding trumps memorization; and where students are forever changed.
