Some employees may have reporting obligations based on their role and responsibilities under this and other policies.
Retaliation against anyone who makes a report of discrimination, harassment and/or sexual misconduct, or who participates in an investigation under any of the complaint resolution procedures set forth herein, is prohibited.

A charge of discrimination is a signed statement asserting that an organization is engaged in employment discrimination. It requests EEOC to take remedial action.
Indiana University Office of Institutional Equity
The office provides direction and expertise to the University’s efforts to promote institutional equity. It has been charged with the responsibility for:
- Managing the University's Non-Discrimination Policy (UA-01) and its Discrimination, Harassment, and Sexual Misconduct Policy (UA-03) .
- Coordinating the University's Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Policy (UA-02) .
- Overseeing the University's compliance with federal civil rights laws including Title IX, Title VII, and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
- The Student Welfare Initiative, an intensified effort to respond to sexual assault and all forms of sexual violence misconduct across campuses
The office thus supports and advises the efforts of officers on all IU campuses to ensure an equitable work and academic environment for all members of the university.
