My classes rely heavily on discussion and student participation. I see myself as a classroom facilitator in the creation of analytical minds. I present ideas that challenge status quo assumptions about the nature of humanity and society. I require students to move beyond childhood myths and question the world of the taken for granted.
As a result, I have won the FACET Award for excellence in teaching as well as the IUN Founder's Day Teacher's Award. I am a highly committed teacher and apparently that has shown in my classes as students have been excited by the adventure into new and expansive ideas. I thrive on controversy, so if you like to argue points and look at the world in a unique way, be sure to join me on a sociological journey!!!!!
