Professor of Economics
Dr. Rao has extensive knowledge of Indian and the other emerging economies and has been actively engaged in providing awareness of the vast business potential of these economies through several community activities in Northwest Indiana. Dr. Rao has been a spokesperson for promoting Indo- US economic, business and academic relations and collaboration through her teaching and research and community activities.
She is the recipient of the national award for excellence in teaching from the National Society for Leadership and Success and is recipient of numerous awards for Teaching Research and Service.
Dr. Rao is passionate about promoting global diversity, globalization of courses and curriculum and a strong advocate for providing global experiences to students through variety of academic and cultural activities.
