Q. Is there a deadline?
We suggest you act fast. Laptops are only available while supplies last, or until August 1, whichever comes first. Classes begin on August 22.
Q. When will I find out if I will receive a laptop?
You will receive an email from the Office of the Registrar within a week of your enrollment.
Q. How will I receive the laptop?
Details on a pick-up location on campus will be emailed to you at the end of July.
Q. Who owns the laptop?
You do. It becomes your personal device to use during your entire academic career at IU Northwest.
Q. Does the laptop come with software?
Great news! While the laptop comes with basic software, all IU students can download a wide variety of tools free of charge by using the IUware software distribution service. This includes popular tools such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, and more.

Q. What do I do if I need technical assistance with the laptop?

Q. I know someone else who is planning to attend IU Northwest this fall. Can they receive a laptop, too?
This opportunity is only open to admitted students who have been awarded federal or state financial aid, including university scholarships, for the 2022 – 2023 academic year.

Terms and Conditions
Laptops are only available while supplies last, or until August 1, whichever comes first.
Recipients must:
Be a first-year, full-time student at IU Northwest.
Have been awarded federal or state financial aid, including university scholarships, for the 2022 – 2023 academic year.
Enroll full-time for the fall 2022 semester and continue your full-time enrollment for the spring 2023 semester.
Students who drop out on or before August 30, 2022, for the fall 2022 semester will be required to return the laptop.
Students who enroll but do not attend classes in the fall 2022 semester will be required to return the laptop.
Students who drop out after August 30, 2022, or students that become enrolled part-time (enrolled in less than 12 credit hours in either semester) will be required to purchase the laptop. An invoice in the amount of $1,000 will be posted to your student account.
